AB 1634 was withdrawn for consideration for the 2007 legislative session but it will be back in January 2008.

AB 1634 was amended once again on July 3rd. Our position and issues with AB 1634 have not changed. Please send letters of opposition reflecting you oppose AB 1634 as amended on July 3, 2007. If you have sent letters of objection for previous amendments, please send another letter reaffirming your objections.

Update 6/28/07

 

California AB 1634 (amended 6/27/07) has been assigned to the Senate Local Governments Committee. 

 

Opposition letters to the Local Governments Committee should be received by 5pm on Monday July 2nd. Organizations and Clubs should be writing the committee. Your letter can be as simple as “ABC Cat Club opposes AB 1634, the California Healthy Pets Act as revised June 27th. Please include us on the opposition list in the latest bill analysis.”  Remember to ask to be placed on the opposition list. Personal letters sent by mail or FAX are always best. However NO amendments can fix the problems with AB 1634.
